Congress Historical Resolution on Special Status

Here is an honest move from All India Congress Committee to checkmate AP's financial woes. It is a known news that the BJP dumped the election promise of special category status to AP. On the other hand, ruling TDP has been playing a huge drama for the past four years on special status taking many U turns. 

At this juncture, AICC has taken up a historical resolution to fulfil SCS demand of AP during its plenary held on Saturday. The resolution reminded the promise of then PM Manmohan Singh on SCS,which was made on February 20, 2014. 

Congress is dismayed that the SCS and other benefits have been ignored which were announced in the AP reorganization act. The Congress Party strongly condemned injustice meted by BJP to the AP.  Congress Party is now determined to announce SCS after assuming power in 2019.
