As expected by everyone and all, the ruling Telugu Desham Party of Andhra Pradesh bade a goodbye to NDA's alliance. Since the BJP government betrayed the AP people breaking its elections promise of declaring special category status to AP, every opposition party and some NGOs resorted to intense agitations seeking SCS to AP.
Tdp has recently joined the agitations and has been fighting for SCS. In spite of feverish protests of political parties, the BJP high command remained adamant with its stand on AP's demand. Moreover, union financial minister Arun Jaitley teased the people with the statements like if all the funds are allocated to AP, what would be the fate of defence department.
And today, Jaitley made it clear that SCS wouldn't be sanctioned to AP. Leaving an utter dismay to the people, he further said that funds were already released as part of special package and just Rs.138 crores are yet to be sanctioned to AP.
Irked by Jaitley's words, CM Chandrababu Naidu associated with ministers and MLAs available and had a lengthy discussion with them about the break up with BJP. Eventually, Tdp took a crucial decision to quit NDA government.
