Prime Minister Narender Modi inaugurated the Hyderabad Metro Rail at Miyapur Metro Station on Tuesday.
Accompanied with Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the Prime Minister, who arrived at the Begumpet Airport, reached the Miyapur Station in an IAF helicopter. He unveiled the specially designed inaugural plaza and the pylon at Miyapur Metro station.
The Prime Minister, along with other dignitaries, took a ride of the Metro Rail from Miyapur to Kukatpally which had a woman loco pilot, S. Supriya. During the 10 minute ride, IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao briefed the Prime Minister about various features of Metro Rail. He also watched a three-minute audio-visual presentation on HMR project.
After the inauguration, the Prime Minister proceeded to HICC for the inauguration of Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
