Manam Rejected for It! Then Why Not Eega?

The AP government and Nandi jury members fell into a state of defence with the huge objections made by industry's celebs. One of the biggest criticisms is that great classic Manam was rejected for best feature film while routine commercial potboiler Legend was chosen for best film.

One of the jury members Prasanna Kumar, however, had a strange defence on Legend's selection for best feature film.  He said movies having reincarnations instigate superstitions and so are not being considered by jury for awards. Also, he said the movies which have souls and other supernatural elements would also not be considered for awards.

But then, Rajamouli's Eega was also based on reincarnations. Even then, the movie bagged Nandi award in 2012. Moreover, Anjali was conferred best actress award for Geethanjali, which is a horo film. As such, it has been evident that the jury member was lying with his defence. 

On the other hand, Akkineni fans are furious over awards committee which ignored Manam film for best film award.
