Telangana New Secretariat: A Role Model!

The proposed Telangana new Secretariat building at the Bison Polo Ground of Hyderabad in Telangana got its designed readied. The foundation stone  is all set to be laid during the festival season of Dussehra.  According to the blueprint,  the structure will have three floors consisting  the offices of the Chief Minister and his Cabinet ministers on the third floor of the building.

On the other hand, chief secretary and other secretaries will occupy the second floor and heads of departments will get the ground floor. Conference halls and meeting halls will specially be designed to accommodate maximum number of dignitaries and officials. 

However, the government's decision of building new Secretariat in another location didn't go well with opposition parties. But then, R&B minister Tummala Nageswara Rao rubbished their allegations. He said the blueprint was prepared after a large exercise was done. Furthermore, he added that the new Secretariat building has a connectivity of roads and trains. He says, the general public can easily reach the location from JBS and from Secunderabad railway station.  “We have selected it after a large exercise," the minister said.

The minister further says, "There have been 100+ government offices located at various places. All these offices will be shifted to new Secretariat and this would be something like Prime Minister's office. This building is going to be a role model for all states."

Meanwhile, the  Secretariat building is expected to occupy 10 to 12 acres of land while the remaining 38 acres will be occupied by Kalabhavan and Legislative Assembly.
