Naga Chaitanya's 'Raarandoyi Veduka Chooddam' hit the screens today and carried mixed reports at the end of its morning shows. Chaitu had an improvement in performance comparing with his previous films. His emotional dialogues at beach episode rocked and received an overwhelming response from audience. Rakul Preet Singh is undoubtedly the showstealer in the film. Entire story revolves around her and she happens to be the protagonist of the play. As she was seen in pretty ordinary outfits, she appeared a bit deglamourized in the film.
Jagapathi Babu and Sampat Raj were seen in same old roles had they performed in many of their recent ventures. Other cast was also rightly set. Devi Sri Prasad's tunes like 'Raarandoyi', 'Bhramarambhaku' and 'Breakup' songs were good. However, they haven't been placed properly in the film. A duet song between Chaitu and Rakul was chopped to half with reasons unknown.
The first half of the film was run with a snail paced screen play with quite ordinary romantic and family emotional scenes. Comparatively, second half was much better. The love track, family emotions and Chaitu- Jagapathy's bonding were elevated well. Altogether, the movie has become another romantic and family entertainer with a predictable content. However, summer's advantage, casting and production values may turn saving grace for the film. Let's wait and watch the film's fate at box office.
