CBN Bias: No Tax to GPS, Tax to RD

The AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is known for his dual standards on various issues. His two eyed policy can be best witnessed with AP and Telangana division, demonetization, AP's special status etc. And he applied the same policy in granting permission for tax exemption to his bawa Basavarama Taraka Putra Balakrishna's 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni'. 

Passionate filmmaker Gunasekhar, irrespective of facing financial obstacles, made 'Rudhamadevi' as the best historical entertainer in the recent past. The Telangana government exempted entertainment tax for the film. Although AP government publicized well that Rudhramadevi's roots were in Amaravati and surroundings of AP, it didn't show interest to exempt the tax to 'Rudhramadevi' film.

Contrary to the AP government's biased standards, the Telangana government exempted tax to both 'RD' and 'GPS'. The CM KCR also assured that the government would not levy tax to historical films in future as well. Perhaps, Cbn needs to learn lessons from KCR for better governance with transparency.
