Ramcharan paid a costly price for all the mistakes committed in his image building process. He secured a star image and proved right successor to Mega Star Chiranjeevi. But, fell into a dangerous trap of being tagged as stereotypic hero with zero variation in script selection and performance approval from audience as an artist.
Beating this perilous web, Charan evolved newly as ‘Dhruva’ and scored decently. Rarely do movies like ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Bahubali’ happen when audience in every section… class, mass and other categories are pulled to theaters. ‘Dhruva’ isn’t a ‘Magadheera’ to please everyone. It catered and worked as per the strategy devised by makers creating a new image for Charan in Overseas and top class centers in Telugu states.
The lineup is also impressive. After Surender Reddy, the idea of Charan to work with Sukumar is most likely to cement his position in Overseas because Sukku’s past hit ‘Nannaku Prematho’ crossed 2M mark in the US and he is capable of repeating the same again. Finally, this can be called as new start for Mega Power Star.
