How hard Trivikram Srinivas may work as director delivering hits and super hits or blockbusters but people recognize him majorly for his mesmerizing writing talent. His thorough hold on Telugu literature and clever knack of writing the scenes with strong nativity and sensibilities keep him on top as a star writer. For example after watching ‘A… Aa,’ the first concrete imprint we get in our brain is… does this man have any magical pen in hand?
This is not first time Trivikram stunned us with verbal entertainment. ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ climax, philosophically coated ‘Khaleja,’ the rebellion attitude in ‘Jalsa’ and so on, Trivikram’s pen power is mightily sharper than his directorial skill. Unlike Rajamouli or any other star directors, they are highly regarded as directors who make other writers to do half of their job. This is a boon and bane for Trivikram to balance both the jobs.
On other side, Trivikram is criticized for lifting scenes from Hollywood or furrowing the entire theme of a movie as he does in ‘A… Aa’ duplicated from ‘Meena.’ Even then, never a director in Trivikram dominated writer in him. His conceptualization of scenes, getting them close to our hearts with a gripping emotional display, what gets more underlined is penetrability in his dialogues and nothing more. Sometimes we might be wrong in our assumption but psychologically our gut feeling is; Trivikram is a better writer than a director. Till the time, he continues with best writings and especially those punching one-liners, never we can accept him as a star director. Else let us keep it this way… Trivikram is a star writer and not the top director.
