Dil Raju's 'Kerintha', though, got mixed reports on the day one of its release, finally, the movie emerged as a winner at the ticket windows and brings laughs to the team 'Kerintha'. As a token of gratitude on the audiences, the makers of 'Kerintha' have been touring to theaters across AP and Telangana where the movie is being screened.
However, 'Kerintha' team got bitter experience in Srikakulam. A group of ABVP activists protested against 'Kerintha' team and even dared to hurl tomatoes on the team 'Kerintha'. They alleged that the makers hurt the feelings of them mocking local dialect through a comic character in the movie. Finally, Dil Raju had to apologize the student groups.
As we know, a character named Parvatheesham utters Srikakulam's slang in the movie and received accolades from all corners. It is observed that his character was intended only to generate sufficient laughs in the movie but not to mock people of any region. It seems ABVP's activists unnecessarily made it an issue.
