Veteran star heroes are slowly fading out from market demand. When young heroes are offering variety of entertainment with guaranteed combinations, this is the time for veterans like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh to sit in backseats picking only those roles which given them respect and recognition. In that sense, Balakrishna's choice of working with Sathya Deva for 'Lion' is referred by Fans as a dangerous adventure.
All through last five to seven years, none of our directors were able to correctly study the body language and best that sells from Balayya. For a hero of such magnanimous caliber, Fan base is always important factor to be considered before designing the script and setting the combinations right. Looks like alone Boyapati has done a deep research on demands of Nandamuri Fans and what they really expect from Balakrishna. So are the rare gems of 'Simha' and 'Legend' delivered. Both the films posed strong threat to break the top records of Tollywood, at a time when young heroes are putting up a rocking show with each of their projects.
After B Gopal, it is only and only Boyapati got the credit of showing Balakrishna in a most entertaining, powerful and commercially viable format. This could be the reason why, Balayya has showed the trust worthiness in Boyapati by giving the burden of directing his 100th film. We need to wait and see, how far director Srivass can reach the standards of Boyapati while dealing Balakrishna with tentatively titled 'Dictator.'
