Shashi Kapoor Gets Dada Saheb Phalke

One of the all time great actors of bollywood, Shashi Kapoor was conferred with India's highest award of cinema,  'Dada Saheb Phalke' Award. Shashi Kapoor was the son of Prithviraj Kapoor and the younger brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Earlier, Shashi Kapoor was given away the third highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan in 2011. He was chosen the National Film Award for the best actor for the movie 'New Delhi Times' in 1986. 

'Kabhi Kabhi', 'Waqt', 'Kala Paththar', 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram', 'Deewar', 'Suhaag', 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa' etc.are some of the best movies enacted by Shashi Kapoor.
