First Super Hit Rain Song of Tollywood

Every movie lover likes to watch rain songs in movies. But then, did you know which is the first rain song in the history of 83 years of Telugu cinema? And the song is  'Chitapata Chinukulu PADUTHOOVUNTE...CHELIKAADE CHENTHANAVUNTE' from 'Aathmabalam' movie released in 1964. Music of the song was composed by KV Mahadevan. Akkineni Nageswara Rao and B Saroja Devi tapped their feet for this song. The movie was directed by V Madhusudana Rao and was produced by VB Rajendra Prasad on Jagapathi Art Productions. All songs from 'Aathmabalam' were great hits but the movie could not run well at the box office.
