Prince Mahesh Babu's '1-Nenokkadine' has created a sensation as the movie was sold out to Rs. 72 crores, an all time record pre release business for any movie in tollywood. Bollywood production house EROS International has bought the movie's rights. It is yet to be known how well they estimated the area wise break up of the movie's rights. However, some of the trade pundits are coming up with some interesting estimations based on the numbers heard on the movie's business before it was sold out to EROS.
Earlier it was heard that the movie might have been sold out in Nizam for Rs.12 crores, Ceded- Rs.9 cr., Nellore-Rs.2 cr., Krishna-3.5 cr., Guntur- 4 cr, Vizag- Rs.5 cr., East Godavari- 3.6 cr., West Godavari-3.10 cr., Satellite rights- Rs.12.50 cr.which include Tamil version of the movie, Karnataka- 4cr., Hindi channel's rights- Rs.4 cr., Overseas- Rs.7 cr., and audio rights Rs.65 lakhs. On a whole, the movie's area wise business is crossing Rs.66+ crores. So, Rs.72 crores might be a comfortable deal for EROS, though it paid Rs.6 to 7 more crores of rupees.
However, an English newspaper revealed that '1' movie's rights were sold out to Rs.72 crores, its satellite rights went on for Rs.12.50 crores Hindii channel's rights Rs.4 crores and audio would fetch Rs.65 lakhs. In such case, the whole business worth of '1' movie would be around Rs.90 crores. But there are less takers to the report given by the newspaper.
