Since the black and white days when Akkineni Nageshwara Rao got his own share of recognition in films even with a Super Star like NTR in the race, the dignity and respect for Akkineni clan went on to grow later with next generation heroes Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. However, the big achievement and also a disappointment in other way is never did Akkineni heroes build a ‘Mass’ image. Most of the times, ANR and Nag tried to be as versatile as possible attempting wide genre of subjects and diverse characterizations. Now, Chaitu is also following the same trend.
Film analysts surely find the problem with young boy Akkineni Akhil who is confirmed to debut as a hero very soon keeping sports and studies aside. The very first look at Akhil tells us that he is more hand-some and shining than past Akkineni heroes with a milk white complexion above Mahesh Babu and a confident body language like his dad. As debut project become crucial and also will lay a firm foundation for Akhil to build up a strong career, will Nagarjuna select the subject of romantic entertainer or a full fledged action mass entertainer for his young son will have to be wait and seen?
If Rajamouli will be the first director for Akhil, we can expect a mass flick and if the offer lands with someone like Sekhar Kammula, surely Nag needs a strategy re-cycled.
