Vijay Deverakonda Needs a Box Office Push

Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali has received a mixed response from audiences, and the film has a big box office target to reach. With a reported budget of around Rs. 120 crore, the period drama needs strong collections to recover its theatrical investment.
According to trade estimates, the makers have recovered around Rs. 60 crore through non-theatrical rights, while the theatrical business is reportedly around Rs. 60 crore. This means the film needs to collect around Rs. 60 crore share, or nearly Rs. 120 crore gross, to reach break-even.
The mixed response has made the box office journey more challenging. The film needs positive word of mouth to bring more audiences to theatres, especially after the opening days. The Dasara holiday period could help, but the collections need to remain steady for the film to reach its target.
Vijay has put considerable effort into the role, while director Rahul Sankrityan has brought the period drama to the screen with Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead.
For now, Ranabaali has a sizeable target ahead. Whether it can get there will depend on how the audience response shapes up and whether the film manages to pick up at the box office in the coming days.
