Generally summer season is viewed as the most rewarding season by the filmmakers and almost all the top stars try to release the films, as educational institutes have holidays and school kids can bring parents and family members to the theatres.

However, much to the shock of all, Tollywood this time missed the golden opportunity. Tollywood got a huge shock when Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh turned out to be a huge disappointment. Though Peddi is releasing amidst huge expectations on 4 June, it clashes with the opening of the schools and this may dent its collections.

Though star heroes films sails off smoothly even in unseason, the makers of the small films, missed the summer season and now ruing the missed opportunity. Nikhil's Swayambu missed three dates in Feb,March , April and now went into hibernation. It is not clear whether the film releases in July or August.

Sai Dhurga Tej's Sambarala Yeti Gattu is in various problems and questionmarks are increasing over its release. Kiran Abbavaram's Chennai Love Story and Anand Devarakonda's Epic also failed to cash in to the summer craze. Samantha's Maa Inti Bangaram is releasing on 19 June and Akhil's Lenin is releasing on 26 June. Had they planned during Summer, they could have got more revenue.

Chiranjeevi's Vishambhara is embroilsed in VFX issues and inside talk is it may release on 10 July 2026. If this continues Tollywood market may witness more downfall. Exhibitors and distributors after having advance agreements are now unable to pay theatre rents. One is not sure how Sing Geetham, on 11 June, Chettu Meeda Deyyam Naa Kem Bhayam on 18 June and Naga Bandham on 3 July will reverse the situation.
