How Vijay achieved where Kamal, Rajini failed. One cannot seperate politics and films in south states especially in Tamil Nadu. MGR, Jayalalithaa, Karunanidhi after attaining stardom in films created a sensation in politics. Even as them many stars entered politics but only MGR launched his own party, went into the public and came to power.

After these stalwarts, actors like Shivaji Ganesan, Vijaykanth, Sarath Kumar, Kamal Haasan launched their own parties but disappeared as quickly as they came. Rajinikanth thought about politics for many decades and at the last minute couldn't muster the courage to take a plunge.

However, Vijay succeeded where these stars failed. Vijay had a perfect plan and started expanding his network for the last ten years ago and began expressing his voice over state and central governments policies. He has more then 85000 fans associations throughout the stage and they operated like a political party and took up social service activities.

They have their presence felt in the local elections winning 129/169 seats they contested in 2021 and this boosted the confidence of Vijay. Vijay had age in his side as he is just 51 compared to Rajinikanth's 70 plus and Kamal Haasan 's 65 plus. More then 2 crs voters in the age group of under 40 voted for Vijay. He emerged successful that TVK is seperate from Dravidian parties DMK, AIADMK. Kamal and Rajini didn't dare to do it. Vijay with his attacks on DMK and AIADMK impressed up on people that his party is different and he had nothing to do with those parties.

To the top of it, Vijay made it clear that he will not do films once he ends politics and this connected chords with the people who are looking for a young and dynamic full time politician as an alternative.
