Actor Shriya Saran has joined the cast of Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and will feature in a special dance number. The film, starring Suriya in the lead role, is currently underway, with Shriya's portions already filmed in Ooty. This marks the first collaboration between Shriya and Suriya, with the former's involvement in the project yet to be officially announced.
