Vishnuvardhan To Direct Veteran Tamil Hero Son

Filmmaker Vishnuvardhan is all set to make a return to Tamil cinema with Nesippaya, starring Aditi Shankar and Akash Murali, son of late actor Murali, who will be making his on-screen debut with the film. Nesippaya will be backed by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators, who previously made Vijay's Master in 2021. 

The film also stars Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kushboo Sundar, Kalki Koechlin, and Shiv Panditt, among others. The technical crew of the film comprises cinematographers Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson, along with editor Sreekar Prasad, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, production designer Saravanan Vasanth, and lyricist Pa Vijay.

Vishnuvardhan last made Shershaah (2021) with Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in the lead, while his last Tamil film Yatchan, starring Arya and Krishna, was made in 2015. Aditi Shankar, meanwhile, was last seen in the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maaveeran last year.

The makers are yet to reveal details regarding the plot and release date. Vishnuvardhan is currently working on 'Bull' starring Salman Khan produced by Karan Johar.
