Rajinikanth Is Receiving Highest Paycheck For Coolie

It is known that Superstar Rajinikanth is coming as 'Coolie' in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Direction which is to be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The first look and recently revealed teaser once again ignites expectations and buzz after 'Jailer'. Rajini is presented in his peculiar inimitable swag and style which created massive hype around 'Coolie'. With 'Jailer' everyone is now aware about his box office pull if the film is made right blending his trademark elements in it. 

Director Lokesh Kangaraj is capable of repeating 'Jailer' magic with 'Coolie'. All these factors are making this Sun Pictures production red-hot in trade already. While fans are eager to see what Rajinikanth and Lokesh have in store for them, it seems like Rajinikanth’s fee for the film has been revealed. If reports are to be believed, Rajinikanth is receiving record remuneration for the film.

Highest Remuneration For Rajinikanth

Sun Pictures is known for paying hefty checks for its actors and technicians. We have seen it for 'Jailer' how much it's producer Kalanithimaran has gifted once the film became blockbuster. He also shared very good equation with Rajinikanth. Reportedly, Rajinikanth is getting around Rs 260 cr to 280 cr for 'Coolie'. This would make the Tamil superstar as the highest paid actor in Asia.

Coolie is set to go on floors soon. The film is directed by Lokesh while Anirudh Ravichander has been composing the music. Thalaivar 171 also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ranveer Singh and Parvathy Thiruvothu in key roles. Sobhana, Sruthi Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks with the director Lokesh to play pivotal roles in Coolie. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also working on Thalaivar 170, officially titled Vettaiyan.
