Exciting Update About Plot Of Jailer 2

The news about sequel of ‘Jailer’, has been buzzing in the past couple of days. The action thriller starring Rajinikanth as a tough cop who takes on a notorious idol smuggling racket, became one of the biggest blockbuster. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

According to kollywood sources, director Nelson Dilipkumar has already started working on the script for the sequel, tentatively titled ‘Jailer 2’. And the surprise element is that Nayanthara, who played the lead role in Nelson’s debut film ‘Kolamavu Kokila’, will reprise her character of Kokila, a middle-class girl who gets involved in a drug smuggling operation, in ‘Jailer 2’.

‘Jailer 2’ will be a continuation of the events that happened in ‘Jailer’, where Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian, a former police, busts the idol smuggling kingpin Varma (Vinayakan) and his gang. However, Varma’s associates, who are still at large, will seek revenge on Muthuvel Pandian and his family. In a twist of fate, Muthuvel Pandian will cross paths with Kokila, who will have a crucial role to play in the plot.

If this news turns out to be true, ‘Jailer 2’ will mark the sixth collaboration between Nayanthara and Rajinikanth, after ‘Chandramukhi’, ‘Kuselan’, ‘Sivaji’, ‘Darbar’, and ‘Annaththe’. However, we will have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers of 'Jailer 2’ before we get too excited.
