Rebel Star Prabhas's latest high octane actioner, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has been stormed the theatres on Friday, 22nd December. The film took a flying start setting box office on fire. Directed by KGF movies fame Prashanth Neel, Salaar has been riding high with massive expectations. It has raked in Rs 178 crores worldwide gross on its first day making its way into the coveted club of Indian movies that earned over Rs 100 crore on first day of their release.

Prabhas has scored highest opening day grosser of the year with Salaar's Rs 178 Crores surpassing previous Rs 148 Crores by Vijay starrer Leo. Prabhas already has 100+ crore opener with Adipurush earlier this year with Rs 140 crores. Other Bollywood films which entered 100+ crore clubs this year are, Shahrukh Khan's Pathaan 105+ Crores,  Jawaan Rs 120+ Crores, and Ranbir Kapoor's Rs 115+ Crores.

Prabhas Is Only Hero With Four 100 Crore Openers

Salaar's opening becomes its latest feather in the cap and secures its spot among the top 10 Indian films to achieve such a feat. It joins the ranks of massive hits like Baahubali 2, Adipurush, Saaho, KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Dangal, War, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, PK, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. With 'Salaar' Prabhas also emerged as the only hero with four films which breached Rs 100-crore club on Day 1 itself. A rare feat achieved by no other Indian actor. The other three Prabhas's movies are Baahubali 2 200+ Crores, Adipurush 140 Crores, Saaho 125 Crores.

Salaar also registered Highest opening in  domestic market this year with a staggering Rs 95 crore reported on first day. This positions Salaar as the top opener of 2023, surpassing the opening collections of SRK's 'Pathaan,' 'Jawan,' and Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal.' While 'Pathaan' earned Rs 57 crore on its first day in India, 'Jawan' and 'Animal' reported openings of Rs 75 crore and Rs 63 crore, respectively.
