Thalapathy Vijay's much hyped Leo hit the screens yesterday, October 19 across the globe. The film released in multiple languages. The film has witnessed terrific openings across all south states. With its advance sales and pre bookings itself, Leo created records in some areas. This shows the massive hype the film has witnessed. The film hits century on its first day.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, The film took a monstrous opening at the box office on its first day. According to trade reports, 'Leo' is said to have earned over Rs 130 crores worldwide. It has already got the biggest opening for a Kollywood film across the globe. The film is said to grossed Rs 130+ crores on its first day across the globe, of which Rs 7

80 crore will be coming from India itself.

The film has collected Rs 32 Crores in Tamil Nadu, 13 Crore from Kerala, 15 Crore from Karnataka, 18 Crore from, AP, TS and ROI ₹4 crore. The total India gross is expected to be RS 80+ crore. While the overseas amount is likely to be more than Rs 50 crore, the worldwide gross will be ₹

RS 130+ crore.

Leo has also created a unique record of grossing more than 10 Crores from every state (language) in south India. This is the first film and Vijay became first hero to do so. Apart from Vijay, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
