Sivakarthikeyan is now doing a film in Kamal Haasan's production, which is a biopic of an army major who got martyred in saving his fellow army men from the terrorist attack on our country. Sai Pallavi is staring as female lead in SK 21, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who made his debut with the crime thriller Rangoon in 2017. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International.
The latest news is that the makers to unveil the film's official title and first look poster on August 15, coinciding with the Independence Day, as the film is said to be a patriotic period drama based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in a counter-insurgency operation in Kashmir in 2014.
The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash, who has collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. The film’s shooting commenced in May this year in Kashmir, where the team has been shooting for two months in various locations.
Sivakarthikeyan, who plays the role of Major Mukund, has undergone rigorous training for his role in Mumbai. He has also reportedly grown a beard and lost weight to fit into the character. Sai Pallavi, who plays his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese, has also joined the shoot recently.
