Rajini Jailer facing an uphill task. Rajinikanth is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his film Jailer. The film directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar is releasing in various languages on 10 August 2023.

The film stars Tamannaah as the female lead while  Mohan Lal, Jackie Shroff, Shivaraj Kumar, Sunil, Yogi Babu and Ramya Krishnan are playing important roles.

Rajinikanth has an immense following in Two Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana but Jailer is facing an uphill task as his previous films bombed at the box office. An exhibitor says "Rajinikanth’s popularity is unmatched in Tamil Nadu, but in Telugu states it will be difficult to draw openings because he has just one day(August 10) to garner big numbers. Since the next day, Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar will arrive in theatres in two Telugu states,"

The exhibitors added "The film is valued at Rs 6 to 7 crores, so first-day openings are crucial. If Rajinikanth attends any pre-release event in Hyderabad, it will give some boost to promotions and enthuse his Telugu fans. He is one Tamil star who had a decent market in Telugu but a few flops dented his popularity,"
