By-poll sealed TD chapter: Vijaya Shanti

It's now time for Telugu Desam leaders  to go on pilgrimage or take sanyas, says Telangana Rashtra Samiti MP from Medak Vijaya Shanti here on Friday.

Thanking the people for solidly standing behind the Telangana movement and  electing the TRS candidates to victory, Vijaya Shanti said it is certainly a people’s victory.

The TDP candidates, who forefeited their deposits in the byelections have nowhere to go but to pay visit to holy places and pilgrimages hoping to purgate their sins and pray for better future.

In the last elections, Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party was completely washed out. In this elections, it is the TDP's turn, the actor-turned politician asserted.

Sarcastically referring to the twin losses suffered by PCC president D Srinivas (DS), she expanded the acronym of `D’ as deposit and 'S' as seat. The people have lost their faith in the Congress and TDP which is why they voted TRS, she opined.

''At least now, open your eyes and grant separate statehood to Telangana,'' she reminded the UPA Government.The by-polls sealed the fate of TDP while the 2014 elections will wash away Congress from the Andhra Pradesh soil, she predicted.
