A Telangana Rashtra Samithi nominee was found violating the model code of conduct by alert Congress activists on Friday.
As a setback to the Trs electioneering in this constituency, Congress nominee KK Mahinder Reddy complained to the police here that his rival Taraka Ramarao was indulging in violation of election norms which are in force in the constituency.
Reddy alleged that his Trs counterpart Taraka Ramarao had affixed a sticker that read TG suggesting Telangana behind his campaign vehicle. ''This flouted the poll norm, by my opponent,'' Reddy wrote in his complaint to the police.
The district returning officer immediately took note of the complaint and began inquiries into the veracity of the complaint. He also issued a notice to the Trs candidate.
