The onus of resolving the Babli issue rests with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Venkaiah Naidu here on Tuesday.
Interacting with the media here on the issue of Babli project across the river Godavari, he observed ``the Centre has neglected the issue for a long time. It was brought to the notice of the centre several times but the Centre kept it aside and acted as though nothing has happened. Today it has turned out to be a big issue.’’
Since the Congress is in power in Maharashtra and Andra Pradesh and also at the Centre, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should come up with a proposal which must be agreeabe to all the parties, Naidu added.
