Congress senior leader and MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Friday criticized Telangana Rashtra Samiti leader K Chandrasekhara Rao for his comments that Telangana would witness a civil war if it was not given statehood by Dec 31.
Rao told newspersons that the TRS leader's statements reflected his personal apprehension of losing the support of his legislators in the ensuing byelections to be held in August. He termed Kcr’s statement as violating the provisions of the Constitution of India.
The MP however refused to comment on the proposed `Odarpu yatra’ of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.Rayapati said he would not involve in the personal matters of some people. He said the high command had given clear directions to leaders not to make any remarks on Jagan’s odarpu yatra.
