Ministers back Ponnala

Minister for Major irrigation Ponnala Lakshmaiah met  Chief Minister  and discussed with him the charges leveled  by  the Telangana senior Congress leaders  against  Jalayagnam projects.

During the discussions the Minister impressed upon the Chief Minister the futility of passing such comments  without establishing the facts. 

``The  passing  of  unsavory remarks by the  own party members  on Jalayagnam  project is  really sad,  observed Ponnala.  ``Due to such comments  we  are  in a delicate  position to  face the  opposition   and the public,  the  Minister  lamented.   He appealed to the CM to take action  on  those   party members who are  passing  such  derogatory   remarks .

Meanwhile  ministers  from  Telangana supported   Ponnala  and  urged the senior leaders to discuss such allegation in the party forum.  ``We should not give the  opposition  any   room for  comments . If  you have  any  fears that  there is corruption  at  any  level you should  bring it to the  notice of CM but you  should not go to the press, ‘’  said Sridhar  Babu  Minster  for Higher Education.   

``We  should not make  such  hasty  comments without  establishing  the  facts.  If the  matter is so serious thane it  should  have been  brought to the notice  of  PCC chief  D Srinivas  or  Congress  president  Sonia Gandhi, ‘’ the  ministers felt.
