Congress MPs from Telangana met Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Tuesday and expressed their solidarity and condemned the remarks made Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy at New Delhi against the Chief Minister.
The Congress MPs who met the CM are, Manda Jagannadham, Balaram Naik, Suresh Shatkar, Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yashki, G Sukhender Reddy, Sarve Satyanarayana, Rajaiah and Vivek. They extended their support to the decisions the CM had taken during the Odarpu Yatra on May 28.
According to sources, the Chief Minister explained his stand on Odarpu Yatra and wanted to know whether taking care of the law and order was his mistake.
“I treated him as my son. But you know how he is treating me. I did not grab power from his father nor prevented Jagan from succeeding his father. I am only following the directions of the high command,” Rosaiah reportedly told the MPs and requested them to support him if they felt so.
The Congress MPs criticized Jagan and requested him not to further politicize the issue. They wanted the MP to save the party and its government in the State and use his resources to counter the opposition.
