Mahanati Savitri award to Jamuna

Veteran Telugu director-producer-actor-politician Dasari Narayana Rao on Tuesday stated that Chief Minister K Rosaiah will present the Mahanati Savitri Award to veteran actress Jamuna.

Talking to reporters after celebrating his birthday with  the politicians and his fans at his residence in Filmnagar on Tuesday, he said the award ceremony function was rescheduled as the code of conduct for MLC polls was effective in the state.

The Chief Minister will present the award to Jamuna at a function announced soon, he said.Dasari Narayana Rao said that he would set up film institute in Hyderabad this year. On the occasion, he released a book on Savitri’s life.

Film star Mohan Babu, Tarun, film producer M S Reddy, film director Bhoyapati Srinu, music director Koti and paruchuri brothers attended the programme.
