The Governor's weekly `Praja Darshan’ programme meant to interact with the people and solve their grievances will be revived once Summer blaze recedes by the first week of June, according to Raj Bhavan sources here on Friday.
“I want to meet the common people once a week,” Governor Esl Narasimhan said on Friday. “Let me listen to their grievances, and let me try to solve their problems,'' he said.
The Governor not only wants to meet the people in Hyderabad but would like to tour the state and interact with the people. He has already toured Chittoor district and his proposed visit to Anantapur was called off.
Narasimhan is a dynamic and pro-active leader who keeps himself well informed about the welfare of the people in the state unlike his predecessors.
Thanks to his stint in the state as a police official 38 years ago for he can converse in Telugu and identify himself with the masses.
