CM to inaugurate BIAC in Visakhapatnam

The Chief Minister's office here has confirmed on Monday that Dr K Rosaiah will visit Visakhapatnam district on May 3 to launch a Sri lankan project there.

According to sources, the Chief Minister is expected to inaugurate Brandix India Apparel City (BIAC) at Atchutapuram in Visakhapatnam district.

The apparel city, which is coming up in the Special Economic Zone at Atchutapuram, is a Sri Lankan project, Brandix Lanka. It is the largest integrated apparel exporter of the island nation.

The BIAC project, being set up in over 1,000 acre land, will provide employment to an estimated 25,000 persons in the country. 

On the same day, the Chief Ministerwill also inaugurate IT companies set up at Special Economic Zone at Rushikonda.

Meanwhile, Information Technology Chief Secretary Ratnaprabha will visit Visakhapatnam on April 27 to review the performance of IT companies and development activities in SEZs.
