Unruly scenes at Prajapatham in Telangana

The Prajapatham programmes in Telangana districts witnessed unruly scenes following clashes between Congress and Telugu Desam activists at many places on Saturday.

An unruly mob destroyed the car of Telugu Desam MLA Gampa  Govardhan at Prajapatham programme in Kamareddy. Many Congress and Tdp workers were hurt in the clashes. 

Tension prevailed in Nereducharla  and Mellacheruvu villages in Nalgonda district when supporters  of Telugu Desam and Congress   pelted stones at each other bringing the Prajapatham  programme to an abrupt end.

The police descended on the  scene and averted any further   clashes.At Mellacheruvu, a farmer created  a scene at Prajapaptham meeting threatening to commit suicide. The  Police swung into action and  pacified the agitated farmer.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti workers boycotted the  Prajapatham programme at Vemulawada and tried to disrupt  the meeting. The police arrested about 20 TRS activists who tried  to disrupt the programme.
