Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Thursday directed the Group of Ministers concerned with the Prajapatham programme to hold video conference on May 16 from 11:30 am as part of the ‘Prajapatham programme  starting from April 19 and said that adequate funds have been set apart to redress public grievances.

The Chief Minister said that the Government was determined to make the 'Prajapatham' programme a grand success since it was an initiative in taking administration to the doorstep of the people, particularly in rural areas.

He suggested to the Ministers, MPs, MLAs and People's representatives to make the programme a grand success.The programme will commence from April 19 and continue till May 14, 2010.

'Punarankitha Sabha' (rededication day) would be observed on May 15, 2010 at District level and on May 20 at State Headquarters. The priority issues to be focused during the programme would be Drinking Water, Employment Generation (NREGA), Assured Power supply for seven hours per day, Rajiv Arogyasri, Awareness on availability of 108 and 104 services, Health Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign, Street lights and Domestic water supply in urban areas.

Prajapatham is an interaction among public, their elected representatives and a team of public servants in their own territory. Prajapatham focuses on a set of priority issues, appropriate for the time of the year and area/habitation concerned.

It involves all the public representatives right from Member of the Parliament to the grass-root Panchayat / Municipal Ward Members.
