Is Jagan reason behind Cabinet reshuffle deferment?

Political observers were in for a surprise late on Wednesday evening when Chief Minister K Rosaiah, after meeting AICC president Sonia Gandhi, indicated that the much talked about cabinet reshuffle would not take place after all.

Rumours and wild guesses began to float in political circles about the reasoning behind the deferment of the Cabinet reshuffle.

According to political observers, all indications are that the Chief Minister explained the drawbacks of dropping some ministers from the Cabinet who are YSR loyalists as this might lead to discontent in the party.Added to this is the fact that Jagan’s ‘Odarapu Yathra’ has been met with overwhelming response.

The Chief Minister, with all his political savvy, would prefer not to ruffle the political feathers, particularly at a time when Jagan is once again in the public eye and YSR-turned-Jagan loyalists are keeping a close watch on the situation.

On her part, Sonia Gandhi will most likely invite the most vociferous of Jagan’s supporters to New Delhi and take his view on the Cabinet reshuffle before giving her nod.
