3 Telugu Desam MPs served notice

Lok Sabha Speaker Meera Kumar on Thursday served notices on three Telugu Desam Party members of Parliament as they failed to disclose their assets to the House.

 According to the Speaker, the MPs --Nimmala Krishnappa, Ramesh Rathod and Siva Prasad, failed to furnish the list of their assets to the Lok Sabha Secretariat.According to the rules and regulations, the MPs should disclose their assets for every three months under the Right to Information Act.

 However, the three Telugu Desam MPs have not declared their assets. Taking a serious note on the issue, the Speaker served notices on them and sought an explanation. If they failed to disclose their assets,  the Speaker might be forced to initiate disciplinary action against the MPs as per the Lok Sabha rules.
