As BJP heads for big win, Prime Minister Narenrda Modi tweeted that it is yet another win for India. “Together we grow. Together we prosper. Together we will build a strong and inclusive India. India wins yet again! #VijayiBharat,” he tweeted.
Modi congratulated Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik for winning the state assembly elections a record fifth time in a row. "Congratulations to Naveen Babu for yet another victory in Odisha. Wishing him the very best for the next term," tweeted Modi. Interestingly, BJP is leading in 7 Lok Sabha segments out of 21 in Odisha. However, the state's ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is ahead in 14.
Modi also congratulated YSRCP’s chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the remarkable win in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls. "Congratulations on the remarkable win in Andhra Pradesh. Best wishes to you for a successful tenure," Modi said.
The YSR Congress appeared on course for an overwhelming victory in Andhra Pradesh with its candidates leading in 151 seats, dealing a knockout blow to the Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party. BJP too didn't open account in AP in Assembly and Lok Sabha.
