Answering to one of the questions during the promotional interviews of Raarandoyi Veduka Chooddam King Nagarjuna felt that it'd be a mere waste of talking about collections of films as Baahubali 2 set a huge bench of Rs.1500 crores on Indian film industry.
But then, depending upon the range of a hero, genre of the film and the budget invested on the project, every hero/film have certain targets to be achieved. As far as Baahubali is concerned, the film is treated specially by movie lovers which is devoid of any competitions. As such it shouldn't be shown as the bench mark for other films which are made with ordinary budget and regular genres.
Post the release of RVC, the film carried mixed reports from public. Contrary to his statement, Nagarjuna is promoting his movie as the first Rs.40 crores grosser for Naga Chaitanya. Although Manam film collected a share close to Rs.40 crores, the movie has been made as a multistarrer. Even though gross numbers are being shown for RVC, the film collected an exact share of around Rs.20 crores so far and Rs.5 more crores which is said to be a decent earner for Chaitu. Whatsoever, Nagarjuna might have understood the need for promoting movies showing its collections as the benchmark, a welcome change!
