Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar has strongly condemned former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy for his criticism against TRS Government.

Addressing a press conference here, Koppula said that Jaipal Reddy had served as six time MP, four time MLA and thrice as Union Minister. But when in power, he never identified himself with Telangana State. He said Jaipal Reddy did not use his influence to prevent registration of cases against youth who participated in Telangana agitation. However, now Jaipal Reddy is targeting TRS Government as he was unable to digest the fact that Telangana State was witnessing development under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He alleged that Congress leaders were habitual of organising agitations and the ongoing 'Jana Avedana Sammelans' were part of their culture. He said the Congress leaders had organised agitation even to counter statehood movement.

The TRS leader also slammed Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram and accused him of leveling baseless allegations against KCR Government. He said that the State Government had so far issued 34 job notifications and 24 notifications were in various stages of implementation. He said that the TRS Government filled 5,936 vacancies within four months after coming to power and 28,000 vacancies were filled in the second phase. He said that the notification for 34,000 more jobs were ready to be issued. He said that the services of nearly 20,000 contract employees have been regularised so far.

Koppula claimed that the government filled thousands of vacancies in different departments. They include 11,820 in police department; 2,345 in electricity; 4,340 in SCCL and 4,463 in Agriculture. He alleged that the JAC Chairman was misleading the jobless youth and inciting them to participate in agitation.
