Congress senior leader and former MP V. Hanumantha Rao met TJAC Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram at latter's residence on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons later, VHR alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was functioning like a dictator. He strongly condemned the police for arresting Kodandaram at late night by breaking open his door. He said such terror tactics would not prevent TJAC chief or other leaders from raising voice against the injustices being done by the TRS Government.
VHR said that the students have displayed utmost restraint and conducted peaceful agitation despite several restrictions by the police. He described the Wednesday's rally as a warning signal for TRS Government and said that the students and youth dethrone the TRS Government if it continues with its anti-people policies. He also announced that the Congress party would continue to support the JAC in all agitation programmes.
