Hyderabad, Jan 23: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Saturday asserted that identity cards are mandatory for students before attending the Vidyarthi Ranabheri. It declined to relax the norm while disposing a petition filed by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of Bharatiya Janata party.The High Court turned down the petition and directed the police to allow students for Ranabheri after checking their identity cards properly.

The Court orders were issued in order to prevent any untoward incidents and to maintain law and order in the wake of the prevailing volatile situation in the state. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj is participating in the meeting.
