Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said that it was due to his experience in administration and his efforts that fetched the national project status to Polavaram Project.

Speaking at a programme in Bukkapatnam in Anantapur district after participating in Janma Bhoomi programme, Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP government was striving for the all round development of the state. He said that he had made strenuous efforts to fetch national status and also NABARD funds for the Polavarm Project.

The Chief Minister inspected the Bukkapatnam tank and assured that he would sanction Rs 10 crore to increase the height of the tank and other works. He said that the people of Puttaparthi were facing difficulties due to the tank and need there was a need to raise the height of the tank.

Chandrababu Naidu said that 1260 tanks would get water from Handri Neeva project. He said that till the completion of Polavarm project water from Krishna would be supplied to Rayalaseema. He also promised to initiate steps to ensure that there was no scarcity of drinking water for Anantapur district.
