Former Minister D Sridhar Babu on Tuesday said that the ruling party was trying to defame him by dragging his name in the slain gangster Nayeem case.
Speaking to media persons, the Congress leader slammed TRS MLA Putta Madhu saying that he was leveling baseless allegations against him. The TRS MLA had alleged that Sridhar Babu had links with slain gangster Nayeem.
The Congress leader challenged the TRS MLA to convince KCR for a CBI inquiry into the Nayeem case to find out facts and book the guilty. The state government should immediately order for a CBI inquiry into the Nayeem case if at all it wants a fair probe into the case, Sridhar Babu demanded. He alleged that the TRS leaders were trying to blackmail the Opposition leaders by dragging their name and warned that he was not afraid of such tactics adopted by the ruling party leaders. He denied any links with the slain gangster.
