Digvijay played a key role in TRS defections
Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday pooh-poohed Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh’s charge that TRS’s was a family rule and said that it was Congress that practiced the dynastic rule, not TRS.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Harish Rao rubbished the allegations of the Digvijay Singh that TRS encouraged defections. It was Congress and more so, Digvijay Singh who encouraged defections during the YSR Reddy regime. TRS MLAs were admitted into the Congress in the presence of Digvijay Singh, Harish Rao remarked.
The Congress was at present conspiring to thwart the irrigation projects being taken up by the TRS government. TRS government is committed to complete the irrigation projects in the state at any cost, the minister added.
