KCR assures justice for Mallanna Sagar outsees

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday assured that the Telangana Government would protect the interest of farmers whose lands were being acquired for Mallanna Sagar project.

Addressing a high level review meeting here, the Chief Minister said that the farmers would be given an option to select the compensation package. A farmer could get a package as per GO 123 or Land Acquisition Act 2013. He said that the government would pay the compensation as per farmers' choice.

KCR said there should not confusion with regard to payment of compensation for the outsees of Mallanna Sagar project. The meeting was also attended by Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and senior officials of various departments.
