Assembly session extended up to Sept 1

Hyderabad, Aug 5 :-

  The Andhra Pradesh Legislature Assembly Speaker, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Wednesday extended the budget session of the House by two more days.

Convening a meeting with all party floor leaders in his chambers, the Speaker sought the members cooperation in extending the session for two more days. To this effect, the members also agreed.

The Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, told the Speaker that he has no objection to extend the session for another two to three days.

The Speaker also announced that today he is canceling the Zero Hour for discussing important issues in the House.

As per the schedule, the Assembly session would conclude on August 29. With the Speaker’s decision, the Business Advisory Committee would extend the session of the House upto September 1.
