TRS will win 100 seats in GHMC elections: Kavitha

TRS MP K. Kavitha said that only Trs Government could bring development in Hyderabad.

Addressing road shows in Uppal, Nacharam and Moulali wards on Thursday, Kavitha said it was Nizam and not the Andhra rulers who brought global recognition for Hyderabad. Describing TDP-BJP alliance as opportunistic, she said that both the parties were not serious on development of Hyderabad. She said BJP leaders should have got special funds for city from the Central Government if they were serious about city's development.

Kavitha also accused Congress leaders of accumulating illegal wealth by swindling funds meants for city's development. She said that the previous Congress Governments did not complete a single project in Telangana and released advance funds to receive kickbacks. She also alleged that the Telangana Congress was still under the influence of Seemandhra leaders.

The TRS MP said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has done exemplary work during the last 18 months. Stating that TRS was not luring any leaders, she said it was due to KCR's performance that leaders from different parties were joining the TRS on their own.

Kavitha claimed that the TRS will win 100 seats in the GHMC elections and capture the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. She asked as to why the Congress and TDP leaders were running away from open challenge on the outcome of GHMC elections.
